The Costume Gallery Presents:

A Year in Fashion:1920

"Flapper Era Fashions"
Evening-wear
Dress #1

With the luxurious brocades and soft chiffon velvets in mind, the Parisienne drapes her evening dress in a most charming way. The back panel can be dropped at the lower part to form a train and the blouse body lining could be made in a camisole style.

Use crepe meteor, crepe de Chine, soft satin, or Georgette, or combine silk with lace or plain with brocaded silks. It is particularly lovely for a wedding dress.

The original Butterick pattern number in 1920 was 2584.
