7:30 PM My oldest son, Ben, drove me to the gala. My poor husband was out of town and never got to see anything. I stepped out of the car and was greeted by the director of a museum that I know. He joked, "You scream Titanic!" He introduced me to some of the prominent citizens of our city. The necklace and gown were glowing with the sun hitting them. I walked inside the most elegant looking tent you have ever seen. It had huge arched windows. The center was a dance floor with four 25-ft. tall columns to match the ones on the front of the house. In the center of the columns was a 15-ft. wide chandelier covered in real red roses. Everyone kept asking or commenting on my attire. People would call my friend off to the side and ask her about my dress. She would say, "You may go ask her, she will talk to you."

The party moved into the mansion. I approached the Grand Hall. I must admit this is my favorite room. It certainly looked different than the day before. All the plastic was gone, and the glory of the foyer was in full bloom.

The photos above show the marble and gold table. This added a romantic look to the Grand Foyer. On top of the table was a beautiful white Victorian birdcage (they are missing for the photo reshoot). The owner said she rents two doves for parties. Above it was a mirror framed in gold, draped with white netting, white Christmas lights, and real gardenias that flowed onto the table and wall lamps.

To the right of the Grand Foyer was a Gallery devoted to Princess Diana. Past the Gallery was a sunroom with floor to ceiling paned windows -this must be a wonderful place to sip your morning coffee and gaze out the windows.

The right side of the foyer hosted a formal dining room. The grandness of this room must be every woman's dream. The 12-ft. high walls are adorned with murals. The room could easily entertain a twenty-seated dining table. At the far end of the room, a floor to ceiling paned window overlooked the rear lawn.

The far end of the Grand Foyer supported the Grand Stairway. In the photo to the right, you can see the two-foot train of the gown flowing down the stairs. This really made me feel elegant. As I walked up the stairs, I gazed into this huge mirror that was on the wall to my left -someone told me this is called a "Bride's View".

The stairs landing exhibited a large window that one may gaze upon the pool with Greek statues. The window's sill held a huge bouquet of Princess Diana roses (about 50 flowers).
